What we do

A body shop, a paint shop, a workshop and a tow truck.

We are licensed as a panelbeater, a painter and a motor mechanic, which means most of what a knocked-about vehicle needs happens under the one roof on Beryl Road.

Panel beating and smash repairs

Crash repairs are what the shop was built on and what it still does most of. Everything from a car park scrape to a full rebuild after a serious prang.

Spray painting

We have sprayed with the Standox range since 1986 and now run the Standoblue waterborne system, matched and blended in our own booth on site.

24 hour towing

Broken down or off the road, any hour. Tilt tray and heavy towing, and we will go a long way to get you home.

Full mechanical servicing

Licensed motor mechanic work alongside the body shop, so a car that comes in bent does not need a second workshop to go back on the road.

Pink slips and safety checks

An authorised NSW inspection station for e-safety checks and safety checks, covering light vehicles up to 4.5t and heavy vehicles.

Heavy and wide load towing

Heavy vehicle recovery and wide load work, with the gear and the accreditation to handle trucks as well as cars.

Our story

Started by one Jones. Run by four generations of them.

Lindsay's father opened the shop in October 1981. Lindsay took it on in the mid nineties and it has stayed in the family the whole way through. Four generations of Joneses have now worked in the place, and we reckon that makes us the longest established panelbeater and smash repairer in the Mid-Western Regional shire.

We have used the Standox paint range since 1986 and never saw a reason to swap. When the old solvent system was phased out we went to the Axalta training centre and put the waterborne system through its paces before we would take it on.

“We've been using the Standocryl range since 1986. We wanted to stay with the Standox brand, we didn't want to go to another company.”

Lindsay Jones, speaking to Axalta's trade magazine in 2021

That is roughly how the whole shop runs. Do it properly, stick with what works, and answer the phone when someone is stuck on the side of the road at two in the morning.

  2. 1986

  5. 2021

Recognised by Axalta for 35 years with Standox, and moves to waterborne paint.

We broke down in the local area and had to be towed back to Sydney. Lindsay was a great driver and even better company. We were 5 hours from home so we appreciate him and his team being available so quickly for us. They got us home within 24 hours. Thanks legends!
